Ukraine: According to the State Fiscal Service, the VAT refund for oilseeds and grains will be in effect

According to information received from the Director of the Audit Department of the State Fiscal Service, the introduction of a law on canceling the VAT refunds in the field of exports of oilseeds and grains is not planned to date, and the information that appeared in the Internet is only a discussion of what can be done to take the market out of the shadows.

According to the State Fiscal Service representative, the export VAT refund for this group of producers is 2.5 times higher than the VAT paid to the budget.

However, according to some experts, if such a law is introduced, then losses for agricultural sector can be up to 50 bilion hryvnia.

In addition, some deputies call such policy a discrimination, since only the agrarian sector will suffer, while other sectors, such as metallurgical of chemical, remain not involved. The main purpose of export VAT refunds is to support domestic producers, as well as he possibility of entering foreign markets.
