Uzbekistan increased exports of oilseeds and vegetable oils
In 2024, Uzbekistan significantly increased exports of oilseeds, vegetable oils and fats, while supplies of grain and processed products decreased. This was reported by APK-Inform with reference to data from the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the report, exports of oilseeds amounted to $25.2 million, which is 63% more than in 2023. At the same time, imports of these products decreased by 7%, to $67.7 million. Exports of vegetable oils and fats increased by 3.1 times, reaching $43.3 million, while imports decreased by 11% – to $314.8 million.
The growth of supplies requires strict quality control of products. More and more Uzbek manufacturers are introducing infrared analyzers for the prompt determination of moisture, acid number, impurity content and other indicators of oil and oilseeds. The use of IR analyzers allows for accurate laboratory research in real time, which is especially important for meeting the requirements of international markets.
Modern analysis technologies allow Uzbek exporters not only to improve the quality of their products, but also to ensure the stability of the characteristics of each delivered lot. This helps to strengthen the country’s position in the global market of vegetable oils and oilseeds.
