Export of Ukrainian grain
According to operational data of the State Customs Service, as of October 28, 2024/25 of the marketing year, Ukraine exported 13.801 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, of which 3.353 million tons were sent abroad in October. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
For comparison, as of October 30 last year, the total volume of shipments was 8.904 million tons, of which 2.152 million tons were exported in October.
Export indicators of all major crops significantly exceed last year’s. Since the beginning of this season, the following have been sent abroad:
– wheat — 7.566 million tons (in 2023/24 MR — 4.477 million tons);
– barley — 1.685 million tons (last year — 679 thousand tons);
– rye — 10.6 thousand tons (in 2023/24 MR — 0.9 thousand tons);
– corn — 4.274 million tons (last year — 3.626 million tons).
The total export of Ukrainian flour as of October 30, 2024 was 24.6 thousand tons, in particular wheat flour — 22.5 thousand tons, which is slightly lower than last year’s figure (42.4 thousand tons in total, including wheat flour — 40.9 thousand tons).
With the growth of export volumes, the quality of grain is becoming increasingly important. For this, grain quality analyzers are actively used at elevators and transshipment complexes, which help control key indicators such as moisture, protein and oil content. The use of modern analyzers makes it possible to significantly improve the quality of exported products, ensuring a stable level that meets international standards.
