Seaports of Ukraine in May 2021 shipped 688 thousand tons of oilseeds and oilseed products. In April 2021, 654 thousand tons were shipped, which is 5% less. In this context, more and more attention is being paid to technological support for quality control of raw materials, especially oilseeds.

The volume of transshipment of sunflower oil in the ports of Ukraine continues to grow. According to data released by the State Fiscal Service, more than 200 thousand tons of sunflower oil were handled last month, which is 30% more than in the same period last year. Most of the products are exported abroad.

The growth of sunflower oil exports is one of the positive trends in the Ukrainian economy. This makes it possible to increase the volume of production and sales of products, as well as to receive additional income. However, it is necessary to ensure the stable quality of the product and compliance with all necessary requirements and standards so that Ukrainian manufacturers can maintain their positions in the global market.

Most of the export shipments of the previous month were sunflower products – 662 thousand tons, including oil – 467 thousand tons, which is 1.3 times more than in April. The meal in May was shipped by 19% less than in April (195 thousand tons). In May, there were not shipped any seeds.

In May 2021, soybeans and soybean products were exported in the amount of 26 thousand tons, which is two times less than a month before: soybean seeds – 16 thousand tons (3.5 times less than in April this year), soybean meal – 10 thousand tons (3.3 times less), oil was not shipped. There were also no shipments of rapeseed and products of its processing.
