Kazakhstan: In the eastern part of the country, 50% of sunflower has already been harvested

As of 16.10.2020, harvesting of oilseeds is completed by 43%, half of this harvest is sunflower.

In the East Kazakhstan region, the sunflower has been harvested by more than 41% of the territory, which amounted to 234 thousand tons. The total amount of the harvested oilseeds amounted to 257 thousand tons.

As of the current date, harvest of other oilseeds amounted to:
Safflower – 86% harvested, yield is 10 centners per hectare.
Soybeans – 75% harvested, yield is slightly more than 8 centners per hectare.
Mustard – 71% harvested, yield is 8 centners per hectare.

The sown area of oilseeds in the East Kazakhstan region is 446 thousand hectares.
