Grain dryers and silos for the development of agricultural infrastructure
Elevators, in cooperation with USAID, have provided services to more than 500 agricultural enterprises.
As part of a partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ukrainian elevators are actively supporting farmers working under martial law. Thanks to this project, more than 500 agricultural enterprises have gained access to services for the storage, processing and transportation of grain and oilseeds.
This initiative is aimed at strengthening food security and developing the agricultural sector of Ukraine. The main emphasis is on supporting small and medium-sized farmers who are experiencing difficulties due to logistical problems and loss of infrastructure.
As part of this program, modern technologies have been introduced at many elevators that help improve the quality of grain storage. This allows farmers not only to store the crop in safe conditions, but also to increase its market price by improving product quality indicators.
New grain dryers and silos for infrastructure development
In addition to providing current services, significant attention is being paid to expanding infrastructure. As part of cooperation with USAID, some enterprises have already begun construction of new grain dryers and silos.
New grain dryers, in particular shaft-type ones, will significantly increase the throughput of elevators and improve the efficiency of drying crops such as sunflower, corn, and wheat. Modern dryer models are equipped with energy-efficient systems that reduce fuel consumption and harmful environmental impact.
The construction of additional silos is aimed at increasing grain storage volumes, which is an important element in the context of ensuring the country’s food security. The new facilities have modern aeration and monitoring systems, which guarantees the preservation of crop quality throughout the entire storage period.
Thanks to the implementation of these projects, farmers will receive more opportunities for effective crop management, and Ukraine will strengthen its position as one of the important exporters of grain crops on the world market.
