Ukraine: During the period from January to November of the current year Ukrzaliznytsia transported 34 million tons of grain

«Ukrzaliznytsia» during the period from January to November of the current year transported slightly less than 34 million tons of grain, which exceeds last year’s figure by 18.2%.

Such data was provided by the press service of Ukrazaliznytsia.

The representative of the company says that the current year was marked by very active growth of grain shipments, while the number of available grain hoppers could not keep up with such rates. In such conditions, modern equipment at grain receiving and processing points becomes strategically important. In particular, truck dumpers from PromInvestService, in particular the “Hurricane” model, allow for quick and efficient unloading of grain from truck loads directly to elevators or warehouses.

The report also says that the number of grain hoppers increased by 11.7% or by 2000 hoppers. The average figure of the number of loaded hoppers per day increased by 14.7%. Such figures indicate that grain hoppers are used with greater efficiency.

It should be recalled that in the past two years the number of grain transportations by rail has increased by 200%. Neither equipment nor company itself was ready to such high figures.
