Up to 63% of soybeans in Ukraine are expected to be processed on the domestic market in 2026

In 2026, the Ukrainian soybean market may see an increase in domestic processing. According to preliminary estimates, up to 63% of the soybean harvest will be processed within the country, driven by both growing demand for processed products and logistical factors.

It is expected that the sown area for soybeans will remain at no less than 2 million hectares, with the total harvest reaching around 5 million tons. Thus, the crop continues to hold a stable position within the agricultural sector despite fluctuations in previous seasons.

The growth of domestic processing imposes additional requirements on raw material quality, as processing companies focus not only on volumes but also on consistent product characteristics. In this context, laboratory control at the stages of soybean reception and sample preparation is becoming increasingly important.

To assess the condition of the batch, detect impurities, and prepare samples for further analysis, laboratory sieves are widely used in practice. They allow quick separation of grain mass by fractions, which is particularly relevant for oilseed crops where uniformity of raw material is critical.

For example, the CropLab laboratory sieve provides precise and reproducible sample separation, enabling a more objective evaluation of contamination and soybean quality before processing.

The use of such equipment is part of a comprehensive approach to quality control, which includes both rapid analysis of key parameters and preparation of representative samples for further studies.

Against the backdrop of growing demand from the domestic market and key export destinations such as Turkey and the EU, soy maintains its potential for further development and strengthening its position in the agricultural sector.
