Ukraine: Foreign supplies of flour amounted to 106 thousand tons
During the period from the beginning of the current MY and until 12.12.18? the volume of foreign supplies of flour reached 106 thousand tons.
Such information was provided by Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
The results of the abovementioned period are lower than those of the previous year by 106.4 thousand tons, i.e. we can observe almost doubled decline in exports.
It should be noted that shipments of wheat flour reached 105.2 thousand tons, while the shipment of flour from other cereals amounted to only 600 tons.
We remind you that in the previous year the shipments of these products abroad reached 413 thousand tons.
It should also be added that for Ukraine it is possible to identify promising sales markets by analysing such factors as the potential of importing countries to purchase these products, and the analysis of import figures in general.
Over the past year, Ukraine continued active export activities in relation to flour. More than 100 thousand tons of the product were exported to foreign markets. Basically, the flour was sent to the EU countries and the countries of the Middle East. In addition, Ukraine continues to occupy a leading position in the world market of grain products, as this is one of the key areas for the development of its economy.
The largest amount of flour was sent to Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Turkey. Ukraine also continues to actively export grains, including wheat, corn and barley. Experts believe that in the near future the growth of grain exports from Ukraine will continue, which will help strengthen the country’s economy.
It is also worth noting that the export of grain products is an important component of the Ukrainian economy. It contributes to the increase in production volumes and the creation of new jobs. In addition, exports make it possible to demonstrate the high quality of Ukrainian grain products on the world stage, which has a positive effect on the country’s image.
