Ukraine: Grain stocks reached a level of 27.000.000 t

The stocks of agricultural crops in the factories that are engaged in grain processing and grain storage reached a level of 27.000.000 t as of December 1 of this year. In the previous year, this figure exceeded today’s by 1.350.000 t and amounted to 28.430.000 t.

Such data was provided by State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Most grain is now available in the grain stores of Poltava, Vinnytsia and Chernigov regions. The amount of grain in these regions is 2.750.000 t, 2.250.000 t and 2.140.000 t, respectively.

The agrarians of Zakarpatya, Chernivtsi and Lviv regions managed to save the least amount of crops. The amount of grain in these regions is 39.900 t, 127.800 t and 282.800 t respectively.

It should be recalled that since the beginning of the current MY, more than 20.000.000 t of grain crops were supplied to foreign markets from Ukraine, while 21.600.000 t were exported during the same period last year.

Ukraine continues to strengthen its position in the world grain market thanks to a record level of stocks, reached at 27 million tons. This allows the country to actively export grain and ensure domestic consumption.

Stocks of grain are an important indicator of the development of agriculture, as they affect the export and domestic market conditions. In addition, it ensures that there is enough grain for the production of animal feed, which contributes to the development of animal husbandry.

However, despite the record level of grain stocks, experts warn that there is still a problem with the storage of the crop and the quality of grain in Ukraine. Therefore, measures are needed to improve the grain storage infrastructure and improve the methods of its processing and processing.

Nevertheless, the record level of grain stocks in Ukraine is a positive factor for the development of the country’s export potential and domestic consumption.
