Протягом 10 років показники врожайності в Україні зрівняються з європейськими

Ukraine: Within 10 years, the yield indicators in Ukraine will be equal to the European ones

Over the next 10 years, Ukrainian yields can be compared with those in Europe.

This was stated by Thomson Reuters.

To date, crop yields in such countries as France and Germany reached 7.5 tons per hectare, while crop yields in Russia and Ukraine reached a maximum of 4 tons per hectare.

However, in the next marketing year crop yields can be expected at the level of 4.05 tons per hectare, which is possible due to the improvement in agricultural technology and fertilizers, and not the least factor is weather conditions.

Also, it is necessary to add that in Ukraine the strengthening of the agrarian sector is hampered by the lack of investment, as well as support from the state.

To date, such countries as Russia and Ukraine occupy the leading positions in the production of wheat in the world. In the current marketing year, wheat production in Russia reached a level of 85 million tons, and in Ukraine the wheat production amounted to 27 million tons.

In Ukraine, in recent years, work has been actively carried out to increase the yield of grain crops. And judging by expert forecasts, this work is not in vain – Ukraine plans to achieve European yield indicators over the next 10 years. To do this, the country uses modern technologies and high-quality seeds, and also cooperates with foreign partners to exchange experience.

One of the key factors affecting yields is the weather. In recent years, Ukraine has experienced several extreme weather conditions that have negatively affected crop yields. However, favorable weather this year may help Ukraine achieve its planned targets.

In addition, technology and quality seeds play an important role. Ukraine is actively introducing new methods of tillage, use of fertilizers and plant protection. Also, farmers in the country are increasingly paying attention to the choice of seeds and prefer high-quality seeds of local and foreign production.
