Ukraine: Since the beginning of 2018, wheat exports decreased to 8.98 million tons

During the period from January to August this year, nearly 9 million tons of wheat were supplied from Ukraine to foreign markets. The cost of delivery amounted to almost 1.6 billion dollars.

Such information was provided by the State Fiscal Service.

However, during the period from January to August of the previous year, 9.31 million tons of wheat were supplied to foreign markets, and the cost of delivery was 1.48 billion dollars. Thus, the difference between exports in the previous year and this year was 0.33 million tons.

The main importing countries for this period are Indonesia, Egypt and Morocco. The volume of supplies to these countries amounted to 1.16 million tons, 973.85 thousand tons and 746.77 thousand tons.

It should be recalled that grain exports in the new marketing year amounted to 7.67 million tons, which is 0.87 million tons less than the indicator for the same period in the past MY.
