In addition, 52.000 ha were sown with buckwheat, which is 53% of the forecast; 5.700.000 ha were sown with sunflower, which is 100% of the forecast, and 4.700.000 ha were sown with maize, which is 102% of the forecast.
Sowing of soybean was done on the territory of 1.500.000 ha, which is 85% of the forecast.
The spring sowing campaign of 2023 in Ukraine showed a positive result. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, millet and corn were sown on a larger area than planned. This is due to favorable weather conditions and an increase in the areas allocated for sowing. In addition, Ukrainian farmers have used better seeds and modern equipment, which has increased yields. New harvest volumes have already begun in some regions of Ukraine, and it is expected that this year the country will receive a good harvest of grain crops.
