Ukraine: Export volumes of agricultural products are increasing rapidly

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the amount of exports during the nine months of the current year amounted to 13.07 billion dollars, which is 24.3% more than the exports volume for the same period last year.

The geography of export during this period has not changed. The most important export region for Ukraine is Asia. There were exported products to the value of 5.525 billion dollars. The countries of the European Union are the second most important export region for Ukraine. The exports volume to these countries amounted to 4.177 billion dollars, while the third place took Africa. There were exported products to the value of 1.997 billion dollars.

The products that make up the export group are sunflower oil (24.8%), maize (18%), wheat and wheat mixtures (14.45%), soybean (4.84%), barley (4.6%) and so on.

According to predictions of analysts, the exports volume by the end of 2017 may increase by 15-20%, compared with last year.
