
Ukraine: New terminal ‘Zelenodolsky’ on the Dnipro river was opened by LLC JV NIBULON
On June 12, the Zelenodolsky river terminal with a storage capacity of 76 thousand tons was opened by LLC JV NIBULON in Dniproperovsk region, Maryanskoe village.
Among the regions of Ukraine, where the NIBULON company is represented, appeared a new one – Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Zelenodolsk branch can simultaneously store 76 thousand tons of agricultural products, dry 3.6 thousand tons per day and ship 12 thousand tons of grain by water transport. LLC JS NIBULON claims that this terminal can receive 300 thousand tons per year, which will help to decrease the amount of trucks on the roads within Dnipropetrovsk region and outside the region by almost 13000 trucks.
LLC JV NIBULON will partially deepen the bottom of the water area around the terminal.
The number of installed silos at the Zelenodolsky transshipment terminal amounted to 16 pieces.
Despite the difficult conditions caused by lockdown, the branch was successfully laucnhed on schedule.
The terminal was constructed with the participation of the EBRD and the EIB. The investments amounted to more than 22 million dollars.
The opening of a new terminal on the Dnieper River is an important event for the development of Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure. The new terminal of the “SP Nibulon” company is located in Zelenodolsk on the right bank of the Dnieper River and is intended for transshipment of grain and other agricultural products. It is equipped with modern technologies, which allows for fast and efficient cargo handling. This will improve logistics and reduce the time of delivery of goods by waterways.
The terminal on the Dnieper River will increase the volume of transportation of agricultural goods and create new jobs. This is important for the development of the economy of the region and the whole country. The new terminal is another step towards the development of water transport and improvement of Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure.
