Ukraine: Shipment of sunflower oil from Ukrainian ports in November 2020 increased by 70%

During the period from 11/01/2020 to 11/30/2020, 1.75 million tons of oilseeds and products of its processing were shipped from the ports of Ukraine for export, which exceeded the shipment volumes of October 2020 by almost 12% (1.56 million tons).

 

The biggest export share belongs to sunflower. The export volumes amounted to 1.19 million tons.

The export volumes of sunflower oil amounted to 820 thousand tons (70% higher than in October).

Find below the export volumes of other products:

Sunflower meal – 310 thousand tons (-20.9%);

Sunflower seeds – 60 thousand tons (-14.5%);

Products of soybean processing – 293 thousand tons;

Soybeans – 284 thousand tons (-7.7%);

Soybean meal – 10 thousand tons (+24.5%);

Soybean oil – no shipments;

Products of rapeseed processing – 263 thousand tons;

Rapeseeds – 253 thousand tons (-11.4%);

Rapeseed meal – 7 thousand tons (+50%);

Rapeseed oil – 3 thousand tons (there were no shipments in October).

 

The main buyers of oilseeds and products of their processing in November 2020 were the following countries:

– India – 346 thousand tons;

– China – 345.1 thousand tons;

– Turkey – 212.7 thousand tons.

 

Top three ports of the MY 20/21 in terms of transshipment of oilseeds and processed products for export:

– Nikolaev – 2.01 million tons;

– Chernomorsk – 900 thousand tons;

– Pivdenny – 474 thousand tons.
