Ukraine: Harvesting reached 0.6 million tons

According to the information received on June 21, in 6 regions of Ukraine, harvesting was carried out on an area of 195.000 hectares, which is 2% of the forecast area.

Such information was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The yield was slightly more than 3 tons/hectare, and 0.6 million tons of grain crops were collected.

The volumes of winter wheat and winter barley harvest amounted to 94 thousand tons and 0.48 million tons with a yield of 30 centners per hectare and 31.7 centners per hectare, respectively.

It should also be added that the volumes of harvested rapeseed amounted to 24 thousand tons.

In Ukraine, the volume of harvesting a new grain crop has reached 0.6 million tons. This indicates that the agricultural sector of the country continues to develop, increasing the volume of production and export of agricultural products. Thanks to the improvement of technologies and the use of modern methods of growing crops, the yield of grain crops in the fields of Ukraine is increasing every year. This allows not only to provide the population of the country with food, but also to export significant volumes of grain abroad. In general, the agricultural sector of Ukraine remains one of the most important sectors of the economy, which makes a significant contribution to the development of the country.

As the harvesting campaign gains momentum in Ukraine, the importance of reliable grain storage becomes increasingly evident. Proper post-harvest infrastructure, particularly grain silos, plays a critical role in preserving the quality of grain, preventing losses, and ensuring stable supply to domestic and export markets.

Modern metal grain silos provide safe long-term storage for wheat, corn, barley, and oilseeds. Equipped with aeration systems, temperature monitoring, and advanced loading/unloading mechanisms, silo systems are essential for any grain elevator or agricultural enterprise.
