There is a significant amount of leftover grain crops such as wheat, corn and soybeans in the warehouses of Ukraine. At the end of the 2021/22 fiscal year, soybean stocks were 281,000 tons, wheat 5.5 million tons and corn 17.9 million tons.
Ukraine is one of the largest producers and exporters of grain crops, and crop residues play an important role in market management. The volumes of wheat and corn residues in Ukrainian warehouses are important indicators of demand for these crops, and the volumes of soybean residues are an indicator of its production and consumption.
Significant amounts of inventory can lead to lower crop prices and market imbalances, so proper inventory management is essential to the sustainability of the industry and the economy as a whole.
In addition, the volume of residues can influence decisions on the import and export of cereals. For example, high balances may encourage exports, while low balances may restrict exports.
Thus, the volume of residues of wheat, corn and soybeans in the warehouses of Ukraine are important indicators for managing the grain market and making decisions on imports and exports.
