Ukraine: A new policy on certification of agricultural machines will entail increase in price
Such innovation will undoubtedly affect the price of agricultural machinery. This statement was made by the general director of “Kuhn-Ukraine” Assad Lapsh.
He states that certification requires certain amount of money, which ultimately will be charged from the end user.
A representative of Kuhn-Ukraine says that if we are on the road to Europe, adopting standards from Europe, starting with the creation of a legislative base, and also the most basic things such as food, it seems obvious that the European Standards and the goods made in compliance with them are quite suitable for us. Then the question arises, are the standards in compliance with which the machinery is produced in Europe lower than in Ukraine?
It should be recalled that today, for the registration of agricultural machinery, such as plough or harvester, it is necessary to provide a declaration of conformity from the manufacturer or the official representative of the manufacturer. To register a tractor or trailer, you must also obtain a special certificate.
Recently, a new equipment certification policy was announced in Ukraine, which involves raising standards and tightening requirements for the quality of equipment. The new standards will apply to various types of machinery, including agricultural, industrial and road construction machinery.
However, due to the increase in standards, manufacturers of equipment will be forced to invest more resources and time in the certification of their products, which may lead to an increase in prices for equipment in the Ukrainian market. It can also lead to limited competition in the technology market and to a decrease in the number of manufacturers in this market.
Despite this, the new machinery certification policy in Ukraine has many advantages. In particular, it will improve the quality of equipment, improve the safety of its operation and reduce the risk of production and sale of low-quality equipment.
