Ukraine: The new grain harvest was 1 million tons

As of June 22 of this year, agrarians of Ukraine collected over 1 million tons of grain. The territory of grain harvesting was 349.000 ha, the average yield for the indicated period was 3.16 t/ha.

Such information was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

During this period, 211,000 t of winter wheat were harvested (the harvesting area was 73,000 ha, and the yield was 2.91 t/ha). Also, such crops as winter barley and peas were collected. The amount reached 877.000 t and 13.000 t respectively. The yield of these crops was 3.26 t/ha and 1.79 t/ha, respectively.

Also, the harvesting of winter rapeseed still continues. During this period, 62.000 t were harvested, and the yield was 1.7 t/ha.

It should be added that on the world wheat exchanges the price was corrected after a long period of decline.
