Ukraine: Last week, nearly 890.000 tons of grain were shipped from seaports
During the period from 02.02 to 08.02, 886,000 tons of grain were shipped from seaports abroad, which is 5% less than it was sent the week before.
The decrease in exports was due to a 25% reduction in wheat supplies. So, during the specified period 179 thousand tons were shipped. However, exports of corn increased by 9 thousand tons, and barley shipments began again.
The three main importing countries are Egypt (with a supplies volume of 182 thousand tons), South Korea (with a supplies volume of 134 thousand tons) and Germany (with a supplies volume of 130 thousand tons).
The largest amount of grain was shipped from the port of Nikolayev (7.200.000 tons), the port of Chernomorsk (5.900.000 tons) ranks second, and the port of Yuzhny (5.200.000 tons) occupies third place.
The volume of shipments of grain crops from the seaports of Ukraine continues to grow, which indicates the preservation of high competitiveness of products on world markets. More than 890,000 tons of grain were shipped last week. Grain export is one of the main sources of foreign exchange earnings in the economy of Ukraine, so these results cannot but rejoice. Many countries are interested in concluding contracts for the supply of Ukrainian grain, which confirms the high quality of products and the reliability of suppliers.
