
Ukraine: Almost 40,000,000 t of grain were harvested as of October 1, 2020
According to information received from the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, almost 40,000,000 tons of cereals and legumes were harvested from the area of 10,800,000 hа, which is about 70% of the plan.
Harvesting of such crops as wheat, barley, peas and rape was completed at the beginning of October.
As for the other crops, the situation is as following:
Millet: about 196,000 t were harvested from the sown area of about 107,000 ha, which is 71% of the planned area.
Buckwheat: almost 84,000 t were harvested from an area of almost 64,000 ha, which is 81% of the planned territory.
Sunflower: almost 8,000,000 t were harvested from an area of about 4,000,000 ha, which is 66% of the planned territory.
Soybeans: 1,240,000 t were harvested from an area of 996,000 ha, which is 18% of the planned territory.
The sowing area of around 17 million hectares brought almost 52 million tons of crops.
