
Ukraine: The amount of remaining wheat in the bins is lower than last year’s figure by 12.5%
As of October 1 of the current year, 12.27 million tons of wheat remained in the granaries of Ukraine, whereas last year the figure was 14.03 million tons.
Such information was obtained from the State Fiscal Service.
The storage volumes of this crop at agricultural enterprises amounted to 7.37 million tons, while at the enterprises for the storage and processing of grain, the remnants were reduced to nearly 5 million tons.
The amount of wheat needed for the domestic market is about 4.5 million tons.
It should be recalled that the volume of foreign supplies of wheat since the beginning of the new MY and as of 10/24/2018 amounted to nearly 7.1 million tons, which is almost 0.6 million tons less than last year.
