Ukraine: Innovative soil analysis system Greenbe

A new remote monitoring system Greenbe was recently introduced, which according to the creators and developers, is capable of increasing the yield and efficiency of growing various crops.

Such a system consists of a sensor and an analysis platform, which makes it possible to obtain data on the condition of the soil (such parameters as moisture and temperature are meant) instantly.

The operation principle of this device is as follows: at first, the necessary crop is selected, then the sensor is placed in the field, after that the system automatically indicates the soil parameters, and if the parameters deviate from the norm, the system automatically notifies about the risks.

The developers claim that the main advantages of this device are a reasonable price and easy-to-use system. These qualities are the reason why all businesses – from small farms to large agro holdings – are interested in the development of this technology.

The location of each sensor can be determined using GPS. You can track information about each part of the field by website and determine where exactly the humidity level deviates from the norm and act appropriately. In addition, the system analyzes the weather forecast and makes its recommendations regarding the watering regime.

According to the developers, for a field with a territory of 100 hectares, only two sensors are sufficient. The results will not keep you waiting too long. According to the tests conducted, the consumption of water for irrigation is reduced by 30%, and the yield increases by more than 15%.
It should also be added that this project is in top 10 startups in Ukraine.
