Ukraine: Export of soybean and soybean oil

During the period from January to November 2017, Ukraine managed to supply 155.000 t of soybean oil to foreign markets. The exports volume amounted to 116.720.000 dollars.

During November 11.170 t were supplied to foreign markets, while in October 12.400 t were exported.

The main buyers of soybean oil are China (the exports volume to this country was 59.820 t and amounted to 45 million dollars), Poland (the exports volume to this country was 57.990 t and amounted to 43.66 million dollars) and India (the exports volume to this country was 10.450 t and amounted to 7.86 million dollars).

It should be recalled that during September-October 2017/18 marketing year, the volume of soybean export broke all records and amounted to almost 283.000 t, while during the same period last year 273.000 t were exported.

Also, in November, 520 thousand tons of soybeans were put on the foreign markets, which is more than 2 times more than the same figure for October. However, this figure is 6% less than the figure for November last year.

The report also says that during the first two months of the 2017/18 marketing year, 283.000 tons of soybeans were supplied to foreign markets, which exceeds by 4% the figure for the same period of the previous marketing year.

It should be recalled that during the period from January to October 2017, 143.86 thousand tons of soybean oil were exported. The amount of exports was slightly more than 108 million tons.

Throughout 2021, Ukraine continues to increase the export of soybeans and soybean oil, opening up new markets and entering into new contracts. Soybean has become one of the main agricultural exports in Ukraine, attracting the attention of large international companies and soybean oil producers.

Among the main consumers of Ukrainian soybeans and soybean oil are the European Union, China, India and other Asian countries. The growing demand for soybean and soybean oil is due to the high content of protein and healthy fatty acids in these products, as well as their wide range of applications in food, cosmetics and other industries.

The increase in the export of soybeans and soybean oil in Ukraine is one of the factors determining the growth of the country’s economy and strengthening its position in the world market. In turn, the development of agriculture and the production of soybeans and soybean oil contributes to improving the environmental situation in the regions where they are produced, as well as increasing the level of employment.

In general, the increase in the export of soybeans and soybean oil in Ukraine is a positive trend that contributes to the development of the country and increase its competitiveness in the world market.
