Ukraine: Export of agricultural products
Figures of agricultural export during the period from January to November of the current year reached 16 billion dollars. This figure exceeds last year’s by 2.7 billion dollars or by 19%.
Such data was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Thus, the turnover of agricultural products in foreign trade amounted to 20.5 billion dollars. The share of import was 4.1 billion dollars.
The main export directions is the countries of Asia. The share of exports to these countries is 43%, which is slightly over 7 billion dollars. India alone purchased agricultural products amounted to 1.8 billion dollars. The share of exports to the European countries reached 31.8%, which is 5.2 billion dollars. The share of exports to the African countries reached 14.5%, which is 2.4 billion dollars.
It should be recalled that Ukraine and China signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture this year.
The high export potential of the Ukrainian agricultural sector increasingly depends not only on production volumes, but also on the consistency of product quality on the international market. This is where modern product quality analyzers (e.g., NIRS, Infratec spectral devices, infrared/NIR grain analyzers) play a key role, allowing for rapid and accurate determination of protein, moisture, oil, ash, damaged starch, etc.
