Ukraine: Export of flour

During six months of the current MY, as of January 18, 2018, 251.200 t of flour were supplied from Ukraine to the foreign markets, which exceeds the same figure for the same period of the last MY by 44.300 t.

Such information was provided by the State Fiscal Service.

Exports of wheat flour during the first half of the current MY amounted to 250.400 t, while exports of flour from other types of cereals during the same period reached a level of 800 t.

It should also be recalled that from January to November, Ukraine produced 1.690.000 t of wheat flour.

In 2017, Ukraine exported more than 260 thousand tons of flour, which is a good indicator for Ukrainian producers. The main buyers of Ukrainian flour are the countries of the Middle East and Africa, including Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The structure of flour exports from Ukraine includes both wheat and rye flour, while wheat flour accounts for more than 90% of all exports. It is noted that Ukrainian flour producers are highly valued for the quality of their products and competitiveness in the world market.
