
Ukraine: 2.5 million tons of grain were harvested in Kharkiv region
On August 1, in the Kharkiv region, agrarians harvested 2.5 million tons of grain and legumes (75% of the plan), the sown area of which was about 535 thousand hectares, therefore the yield is 46.1 centners per hectare.
Productivity of other crops in this area:
- Wheat: 2 million tons were harvested and the sowing area amounted to 416.6 thousand hectares (78%).
- Barley: almost 400 thousand tons were harvested and the sowing area amounted to 96.4 thousand hectares (67%).
- Winter rye: 6.7 thousand tons were harvested and the sowing area amounted to 1.7 thousand hectares (49%).
- Oats: 5 thousand tons were harvested and the sowing area amounted to 2.1 thousand hectares (33%).
- Peas: 43.6 thousand tons were harvested and the sowing area amounted to 185 thousand hectares (88%).
- Winter rapeseed: about 30 thousand tons were harvested and the sowing area amounted to 12.4 thousand hectares (93%).
In the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, 2.5 million tons of grain have been harvested so far. The yield on the field reached 44.5 centners per hectare. At the same time, in some areas of the region, the yield is more than 50 centners per hectare. The harvest is expected to continue for some time. A good harvest this year is associated with weather conditions and the quality use of fertilizers and seeds. In total, Ukraine is expected to harvest more than 70 million tons of grain, which is 10 million tons more than last year.
