Russia: The new record figure of the grain harvest volume is expected this year

According to the opinion of the Russian Grain Union, this year we can expect a new record in the volume of grain harvest. It should be recalled that the current record figure is 135.5 million tons, and it was reached in 2017.

According to experts, there is every reason to believe in higher rates of harvest, if the weather conditions are favorable.

Now analysts forecast harvest volumes between 119 and 127 million tons, but representatives of the RGU believe that this is only a way to be safe.

In the year when the current record was set, analysts’ forecasts amounted to only a maximum of 118 million tons of grain. As a result, this forecast was exceeded by 17.5 million tons.
