Russia: In 2019, the harvest of grain crops is planned at the level of 114.000.000 tons

This year, the harvest of grain crops in Russia is planned at the level of 114.300.000 tons.

Such information was provided on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In addition, the course to increase the yield was drawn up for the next 5 years. Thus, according to the plan, in 2020, the grain harvest will be 118 million tons, and by 2024 it is planned to reach a harvest of 137.5 million tons.

To reach these figures, it is planned to sow previously disposed agricultural land with crops for export. The involvement of these areas will increase the cultivated area from 47.8 million hectares to 50 million hectares.

The harvest of oilseed crops in the current year is planned in the amount of 19.6 million tons, and by 2024 it will be 35 million tons. Over the next five years, it is expected to increase the area under oilseeds from 13.6 million hectares to 18.9 million hectares.
