Russia: The supply of rapeseed oil in the current MY can break all records

In the current season, there has been a significant increase in harvest of rapeseed on the territory of Russia, which was the reason for the revision of indicators for the processing of this crop. So, this year, processing is planned at a level of 1.7 million tons, which exceeds last year’s figure by 39%.

Consequently, due to the increase in processing volumes, it is expected that export volumes of rapeseed oil will increase to 520 thousand tons, whereas last year 344.8 thousand tons were exported.

During the 5 months of the current MY, 260 thousand tons of the abovementioned product was shipped for export, which is half of the forecasted volumes.

The main importing countries of this product are Norway, Latvia and China. Total shipments to these countries amounted to 190 thousand tons.
