Ukrainian agrarians did not support the replacement of the special regime of VAT by subsidies that was proposed by the deputies
Agrarians of Ukraine did not support the proposal made by the Verkhovna Rada to replace the special regime of VAT for those enterprises that are involved in the crop sector with subsidies taken from the state budget, while for livestock owners the abolishing of the VAT is not going to happen. This is stated by the president of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation L. Kozachenko.
On October 3, UNIAN agency informs that this will be an unfair decision, since livestock farming is not possible without plant farming. For example, if you have a dairy farm, then you have both wheat and corn, and silo. Therefore, you have plant farming. According to this, probably 99% of agrarians will oppose to this proposal.
In addition, Kozachenko adds that the government can solve this problem, so everyone can benefit, if the special VAT regime remains for agrarians. The government can introduce a common taxation system without paying a fixed tax, for example.
This position is also supported by the Poultry Union of Ukraine. According to S. Karpenko, the director of association, poultry farmers have a great interest in keeping the special VAT regime for both cattle breeders and plant breeders.
At the same time, the president of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine, named A. Loza, positively assesses the proposals of this committee. He is only interested in the livestock industry remaining with benefits and ready to contribute to the development of livestock farming.
