Revenues from duties on soybeans and rapeseed may be directed to a special fund for Ukrainian farmers

The Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported in the second reading bill No. 13157, which concerns the export duty on soybeans and rapeseed. At the same time, some MPs, in particular Serhiy Labazyuk, proposed creating a special fund to support the agricultural sector, which would be financed on the basis of these revenues.

According to the parliamentarian, with the current volume of exports and taking into account the growth of domestic processing of products, such a fund could accumulate UAH 10–15 billion annually. He emphasized that it would be logical to direct these funds back to agricultural producers — to the development of processing infrastructure.

“What will be the distribution mechanism and what areas will receive funding — a matter for further discussion. But the idea of ​​a special fund has already been laid,” — the MP’s summary.
