
Kazakhstan: The amount of harvested crop at the end of July of this year was 876 thousand tons
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the volume of harvested crops as of July 31 amounted to 876 thousand tons. The territory, where the harvest was collacted, reached almost 445 thousand hectares, and the average yield, in turn, was 1.97 t/ha.
As of the same date last year, 848 thousand tons of grain crops were harvested.
It should be added that the harvest campaign also began in the East Kazakhstan region.
To date, 14.7 million hectares have been sown with grain crops, of which 11.4 million hectares were under wheat. The volume of acreage for wheat was reduced by almost 0.55 million tons.
In addition, the harvest forecast in Kazakhstan is 17.8 million tons. However, it should be noted that the amount of grain harvested in the past marketing year was 19.3 million tons. And the harvest of 2016 reached a level of 19.4 million tons.
