Kazakhstan: In 2018, Prodcorporatsia supplied 428 thousand tons of grain crops abroad

According to the results of the past year, JSC Prodcorporatsia supplied 427.500 tons of cereals and sunflower oil to foreign markets.

The geographical distribution of export supplies of the abovementioned products is as follows: during the previous year, nearly 160 thousand tons of wheat were supplied to Transcaucasia; the amount of products shipped to Central Asia amounted to nearly 130 thousand tons of wheat, while supplies to Iran amounted to just over 110 thousand tons of barley. During this period, 30 thousand tons of wheat and 0.4 thousand tons of sunflower oil were supplied to China.

In comparison with 2017, in 2018 there is a significant increase in the volume of export supplies. Thus, in 2017, slightly more than 120.000 tons of grains and oilseeds were exported.

The Prodcorporatsia explained that such an increase in the export of grain was due to the fact that supplies to Turkmenistan and the countries of the Transcaucasian region began to be carried out again.
