
Kazakhstan: Sowing of spring crops in the Eastern regions of Kazakhstan is more than half completed
According to information provided by the news agency «Kazakh-Zerno», in the East Kazakhstan region, cereal sowing has already been completed by 58% on the area allocated for this type of crops, while oilseed crops were sown on more than 71% of the total area allocated for these crops.
As of May 24, more than 342 thousand hectares were sown with grain, while oilseeds were sown on an area of 95 thousand hectares. Also, perennial grasses were planted on the territory of 13 thousand hectares, which is 42% of the total amount of area allocated for this plant.
In some districts of this region, the sowing moves faster. So, in Borodukhlinsky district as of the specified date more than 94% of the areas were sown, and the neighbouring district managed only 66%.
In addition, sowing of vegetables, potatoes and other types of crops are still going.
