
Kazakhstan: Harvesting started in Turkestan region
As of July 4 this year, harvesting began in the Turkestan region.
The territory of crops sowings for this region in the current year was 233,000 hectares. Out of this amount, 191 thousand hectares were allocated for wheat, and 42.5 thousand hectares were allocated for barley. As of July 4, 26.5 tons of barley and wheat were harvested throughout the region. The agriculture department plans to get yield at a level of 16 centners per hectare, which will allow gathering 374 tons of grain products from all over the region.
Also, akim of this region noted that it is very important for farmers to deliver products on time for export, in order to get the invested funds.
In addition, it should be added that the amount of fertilizer at a lower cost increased by 5 thousand tons.
