Kazakhstan: During the current MY, 264 thousand tons of wheat were exported to Russia

In 18/19 MY, the total volume of Russian agrarian import amounted to 1.8 million tons, which accounts for 93% of all imported goods.

Taking into account the data obtained, the greatest demand of the Russian agrarian sector is observed for soybeans. The amount of imported soybeans over the 18/19 MY reached 1.2 million tons. The main countries supplying the soybeans were Kazakhstan, Brazil and Paraguay.

The second place in terms of import volumes is taken by wheat. In total, during the reporting period, 265 thousand tons were imported, of which 264 thousand tons were imported from Kazakhstan.

It should also be added that Russia has increased imports of rapeseed from Kazakhstan and during the reporting period, the volume of imports of this crop reached 37 thousand tons.
