Kazakhstan: A meeting on spring field works was held in Kostanay region

At the meeting, problems and prospects of the approaching agrarian season were discussed. The biggest amount of time was devoted to the issues of spring fieldwork, as well as the problem of significant lack of moisture in the soil. The reason for this problem is a small amount of precipitation in the autumn-winter period, but further forecasts for April are also disappointing.

The agrarians of the region inform about the tendency to the instability of weather conditions, which has been taking place for several years. Consequently, now it is more than ever necessary to adapt to existing weather conditions. The main task for the agricultural producers of Kostanay region today is preservation and accumulation of moisture in the soil, which allows to significantly reducing risks from unfavourable weather conditions.

According to information from specialists, at the end of the autumn season, the amount of moisture in the soil was much higher than the average, but due to the lack of snow cover, moisture reserves are less than the average figures of the past year.

In addition, the meeting presented the latest technologies for the use of fertilizers, which can increase yields and reduce production costs. It also reduces the negative impact on the environment.

In general, the meeting on spring polar work in the Kostanay region allowed farmers to gain new knowledge and skills that will help them increase production efficiency and improve crop quality.
