Kazakhstan: The production of flour increases in Kazakhstan

During the period from January to February, flour production in Kazakhstan increased by 9.1% compared to the figure of the past year. During the reporting period of the current year, 728 thousand tons of the product were produced.

This information was provided by the Committee of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It should be recalled that according to earlier information, the grain harvest of 2017 in the Republic of Kazakhstan was slightly more than 22 million tons. The top three leaders in terms of grain harvest are the North Kazakhstan region (5.627 million tons), Kostanay region (5.225 million tons) and Akmola region (5.123 million tons).

In addition, during this period the production of rice and other cereals also increased by 9.2% and 9.6% respectively.

In Kazakhstan, flour production continues to grow. Over the past few years, new mills have been opened in the country and old ones have been modernized, which has contributed to an increase in productivity and product quality. In 2021, Kazakhstan increased flour production by 10% compared to the previous year.

The increase in flour production is associated with an increase in demand for products within the country and abroad. Kazakhstan is a major flour exporter, especially to Central Asian countries and Russia. In addition, due to competitive prices, Kazakh flour is in demand on the world market.

It is important to note that flour production in Kazakhstan meets all international quality and food safety standards. Most of the mills are equipped with modern equipment, which makes it possible to obtain high quality products.

Thus, the growth of flour production in Kazakhstan is a positive trend that contributes to the development of the industry and an increase in exports of products abroad.
