Kazakhstan: Grain yield increased
According to the latest data, in the Republic of Kazakhstan 21,598,000 tons of grain were collected. It should be noted that the average yield is 14.2 centners per hectare, and the area that has already been harvested is 99.6%.
At the same time last year, Kazakhstan’s agrarians managed to harvest 20,162,700 tons of grain.
Earlier released data indicate that the harvesting has already ended in the main regions, where the most grain is sown – Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions.
The leading region for collecting grain is North Kazakhstan, where they collected 5,627,500 tons and Kostanay (5,225,300 tons) and Akmola (5,123,900) are slightly behind.
According to the agricultural department, in the north of Kazakhstan, harvesting of oilseeds is already being completed. To date, 90% of the area has already been harvested, which equals to 636 thousand hectares. They collected 649 thousand tons of grain and the yield was 10.2 centners per hectare.
The grain yield in Kazakhstan is an important indicator for the domestic and world markets. According to the latest data, crop yields in Kazakhstan have recently increased. This is good news for agricultural producers, who can look forward to increased profits.
However, increasing grain yields also poses some challenges for growers. For example, it is necessary to have sufficient capacity for processing and storing crops. In addition, grain quality is also important for its success in the market.
