KAZAKHSTAN: The harvesting campaign is nearly over

As of September 24, 2021, 14.8 million tons of cereals and legumes have been harvested, and 15.4 million hectares have been threshed – 97% of the harvested area. The average yield was 9.6 cwt/ha.

Most of the harvest is wheat (more than 11 million tons), while oilseeds amounted to 617 thousand tons.

In major grain-carrying regions of the country (Akmola, Kostanay, and North-Kazakhstan regions), the cereals were threshed on the area of 11,5 million hectares (98,9% from the planned one), 10 million tons of grain were threshed, and the yield made up 8,8 cwt/ha.

Addendum: As in many other countries, the harvesting campaign in Kazakhstan is one of the most important events of the year for agricultural producers. This year, due to unfavorable weather conditions, there was a significant decrease in the yield of grain crops in some regions of the country. However, experts predict that the total grain production in Kazakhstan will be higher than last year. As Kazakhstan’s harvest campaign nears completion, ensuring the quality of the collected grain is paramount for storage and market readiness. Proper grain drying is essential to reduce moisture content, prevent spoilage, and maintain high quality. Perry grain dryers, available through PIS, offer advanced solutions for efficient and reliable drying. These dryers are equipped with modern automation systems, ensuring precise control over temperature and moisture levels, which optimizes the drying process for various crops. With energy-efficient designs and robust construction, Perry grain dryers help farmers minimize losses and operational costs while preserving grain quality for long-term storage and sale.
