Kazakhstan: The amount of harvested crops was 5.5 million tons

During the current harvesting campaign, 5.546 million tons of cereals were collected. This information is as of the September 10.

Information from the Ministry of Agriculture indicates that the area from which the harvest was collected is 4242.3 thousand hectares, which is equal to 28.3% of the total area that is sown with cereals. Also, as of the indicated period the average yield reached 13.1 centners per hectare.

It should be recalled that last year as of the same date the amount of harvested grain was more than 13 million tons, and the harvested territory reached more than 69%.

This year it is planned to collect more than 20.000.000 t of grain crops, and for export the planned amount is 9.000.000 t of grain crops. The main importers of grain from Kazakhstan are Central Asia, Afghanistan and Iran.
