Kazakhstan: The earliest harvesting campaign of the grain crops began in North Kazakhstan region
In the previous week, two agricultural farms in the North Kazakhstan region have already started harvesting spring crops and set a record as the earliest harvesting campaign of the region. However, they started sowing a month earlier than usual, in April.
This year grain yield in this region is quite good and amounted to 30 centners per hectare.
In 2020, about 2.82 million hectares were sown with cereals in the North Kazakhstan region, and about 1.39 million hectares were sown with oilseeds. The earliest grain harvesting campaign has started in the North-Kazakhstan region. Already in several districts of the region began to collect barley and wheat. Despite the dry and hot weather in early April, the grain yield is expected to be good. However, farmers are forced to face the problems of logistics and transportation of the crop due to the lack of a sufficient number of railway wagons. In general, the grain harvesting campaign in Kazakhstan will begin in the coming weeks, and experts predict a good harvest.
