Kazakhstan: The results of the sowing campaign exceeded the planned volumes
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, as of June 11, the sowing campaign was completed by 100.4%, which is 14.188.300 hectares.
Also, as of the 11th, 93.8% of maize was sown.
In addition, it should be added that the results of the sowing campaign of oilseeds also exceeded the planned volumes. So, as of the specified date, sowing was completed in 101.7% of the area.
It should also be recalled that this year it was planned to sow 21.8% million hectares. This indicator corresponds to the level of the previous year. For cereals, 14.7 million hectares were allocated, of which 11.4 million hectares were allocated for wheat. The acreage for wheat has been reduced by more than 0.5 million hectares.
But at the same time, the areas under fodder and grain fodder crops were increased. 2.5 million hectares were allocated for them. Increase in comparison with last year was slightly less than 50 thousand hectares. Also, 2.6 million hectares were allocated for oilseeds. In Kazakhstan, the results of the sowing campaign this year exceeded expectations. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the country notes that thanks to the improvement of weather conditions and the use of modern technologies, it was possible to get a good harvest of grain and oilseeds. This will make it possible to meet domestic demand and increase the export of grain crops
