Kazakhstan: Grain transportation problems mostly arise because of poor-quality products

JSC “NC “KTZ”has held a meeting on the organization of grain transportation recently. The meeting was attended by members of the Ministry of Agriculture and the main grain traders of the North-Kazakhstan region. The head of the company said that to date everything is being done to organize all planned shipments of grain according to the declared volumes.

Also, the head of the company notes that for the period from January to September of this year 5.5 million tons of grain were already transported, while the export volume was 3.6 million tons. Today, about 1.2 million tons of grain are to be transported, while the export volume is 804 thousand tons of grain. At the meeting they explained that in order to transport grain now about 10,000 grain hoppers are in use, of which about 9,000 are currently employed. It is planned to attract one more thousand hoppers at the end of December this year.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the company, K. Alpysbaev, said that to ensure trouble-free grain supplies it is necessary to do everything possible, to work together and to fill in the documents on time, conclude the necessary contracts, organize the operation of elevators, etc.

Also, according to the statement of the international inspection company LLP “Baltic Control Kazakhstan” up to 90% of the grain, which is loaded to the hoppers does not meet all Kazakhstan and international standards, which is what makes the hoppers out of action.
