Ukraine: Sunflower oil export to India amounted to 45%

Kazakhstan increases sunflower oil exports

Kazakhstani sunflower oil exports demonstrate stable growth. In particular, there is an increase in supplies to Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, while China has reduced import volumes.

Main export destinations

  • Uzbekistan remains the largest importer of Kazakhstani sunflower oil, having purchased 52.35 thousand tons in the first three months of 2024/25 MY. For comparison, last season this figure was 44.52 thousand tons, and two years ago – only 22.25 thousand tons.
  • China reduced its purchases to 29.9 thousand tons compared to 33.15 thousand tons last season. However, this is still higher than the level of 2022/23 MY (19.3 thousand tons).
  • Tajikistan increased imports to 17.8 thousand tons, which is slightly higher than last year (17.16 thousand tons) and significantly exceeds the level of two years ago (12.07 thousand tons).
  • Afghanistan also expanded purchases – in September-November 2024/25 MY, 5.56 thousand tons were imported, which exceeds the volumes of the previous two years (5.09 thousand tons and 1.16 thousand tons, respectively).
For the first time, Kazakhstan exported sunflower oil to Turkmenistan – deliveries in the amount of 5 thousand tons were recorded.

Quality control as a key factor in export

The growth in export volumes makes the issue of quality control of sunflower oil especially important. Modern quality analyzers allow manufacturers to quickly check moisture content, acidity, impurity content and other parameters that affect the competitiveness of products.
The use of IR analyzers, such as Infracont, allows you to minimize the influence of the human factor and get accurate results in a matter of minutes. This not only reduces risks during deliveries, but also helps to strengthen the confidence of foreign buyers.
The development of sunflower oil exports from Kazakhstan will continue, and the role of high-precision quality analyzers in this process will only increase.
