In the southern regions of Kazakhstan, the sowing of spring crops is almost complete.
As of April 26, 96.4% of the territories have already been sown in the Zhambyl region; in the South Kazakhstan region 90.7% of the area has been sown. In such regions as Kyzylorda and Almata, 75% and 55% of the areas were sown respectively.
Under oilseeds in the southern regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 168.3 thousand hectares were sown.
It should also be recalled that this year 14.7 million hectares are allocated for grain crops in Kazakhstan, 11.4 million hectares of which are for wheat, which is 0.54 million hectares less than in the previous year.
Also, it should be added that the area allocated for oilseeds for the first time will reach a level of 2.6 million tons.
In the south of Kazakhstan, sowing work on spring crops is nearing completion. Various crops are sown in this region, such as wheat, barley, oats, peas, soybeans and others. Sowing is carried out on an area of several million hectares, which makes this region one of the key ones in the country’s agricultural sector.
Agricultural producers in the south of Kazakhstan successfully use the latest technologies and methods to increase the yield and quality of the crop. For example, they actively use precision farming, which saves resources, reduces the cost of seeds and fertilizers, and increases productivity.
Also an important aspect for a successful harvest is the choice of crop varieties that are best suited for a given region. In the southern regions of Kazakhstan, the most popular varieties are those that are highly resistant to drought and frost, and are also well adapted to the climatic conditions of this region.
In general, the sowing of spring crops in the south of Kazakhstan is an important stage in the development of the agricultural sector of the region. A successful harvest will not only ensure food security in the country, but also increase the export of grain crops, which will positively affect the economy of Kazakhstan.
