
Kazakhstan: As of September 21, 13.5 million tons of grain were harvested
As of 21.09, the harvesting campaign in Kazakhstan ended by slightly more than 70%.
According to information received from the Agricultural Department, the average yield was 1.28 tons/ha, and the total yield reached 13.5 million tons.
However, last year, as of the indicated date, grain harvesting was completed by 90% and the volume of harvested crop was 18.2 million tons.
It should be recalled that in the current year the total area allocated for cereals will be about 15 million hectares (11 million hectares for wheat). In comparison with the previous year, the total number of areas for cereals has decreased by 300 thousand hectares.
The area allocated for cereals is 2.8 million hectares, which is 400 thousand hectares more than in 2017.
The grain harvest is expected to be 20 million tons this year.
