Kazakhstan: More than 71% of the harvest are from the main grain regions of the country

In the main grain regions of the country, more than 16.1 million tons of grain were harvested. It should be recalled that it was possible to start the process of harvesting at full capacity only two weeks after planned start of the harvesting campaign due to adverse weather conditions, therefor the speed of grain harvesting was noticeably lower than last year’s figures.

The total yield in the three main grain areas of Kazakhstan (Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan) was 16.148.600 tons.

It should be noted that according to the data obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture, as of October 30, 22.681.400 tons were harvested in Kazakhstan.

Most of the grain was harvested from the fields of the Akmola region, namely 5.611.500 tons. Kostanay region took the second place. The amount of harvested grain reached 5.214.000 tons. And closes the top three North-Kazakhstan region with a grain yield of 5.323.100 tons.

The total yield of these three areas last year amounted to 15.976.700 tons.
